Number Format

CalcES contains various format options for number:

• Decimal separator (dot or comma)
• Thousand separator
• Thousandth separator
• Exponential separator

The thousand separator

Available options:

• None: 123123123
• Comma: 123,123,123
• Space: 123 123 123
• Apostrophe: 123'123'123

Open the settings screen by clicking the gear icon

Select the Format tab, and then select the Thousand separator item

Choose your thousand separator option, example:

Test the settings:

Thousandth separator (digits after decimal place)

Available options:

• None: 999.123123123
• Comma: 999.123,123,123
• Space: 999.123 123 123
• Apostrophe: 999.123'123'123

Select the Format tab, and then select the Thousandth separator item

Choose your thousandth separator option, example:

Test the settings:

Exponential separator

There are 2 options for exponential separator:

• a * 10^b
• aEb

Where a is the mantissa part and b is exponent part.

Steps to change exponential separator:

• Open the settings screen by clicking the gear icon

• Select the Format tab, scroll to the Scientific Notation item, select your option:

• Back to the calculator, press ENG to open the decimal format dialog:

• Change the decimal format to Science mode

• For Scientific Notation = a * 10^b

• For Scientific Notation = aEb
